Melissa's Salad

Melissa's salad is very easy to make and refreshing. Start with any flavor of jello, just use the 6 ounce size. Boil two cups of water and add jello. Stir until dissolved. Add ice to a two cup measuring cup and then add water to the two cup line. Add to hot jello. Stir until mixed, and the ice is melted. Then set in refrigerator only for a few minutes to cool.

Next step, get a small box of pudding. It can be instant or cooked variety. Mix it according to the package directions. You know add 2 cups milk and stir for two minutes, only I use a wire whip.

Now mix the two together, pour it into a mold. Or not, and leave it in the bowl. Place in refrigerator to set up. Take out of the mold and serve. Delicious! Try it!

I have been thinking about this blog for a while, as you can see it's been over a year since I have added to it. I think it's time to change my format. With a name like No Reservations I have decided to use this to share some of the things in my life that you don't need a reservation to share.
This little cutie is my Wednesday project. Every Wednesday I take her picture. I will do this until her first birthday. I am making a scrapbook. Then I give a copy to her parents and keep one for Grandpa and I. She is precious!

hide and seek is boring

just so you know......"grandma, it's so boring to play hide and seek. I was waiting and NO ONE came to find me." So apparently there was a three year old waiting to be found, that no one knew was lost. Oops!

Last night I was tending three of my beautiful grandchildren. One of them had the squirts and a sore bottom. I asked him is he wanted a bath. No. We talked him into it. Then his siblings wanted to get in. (I think they wanted to play with the tub toys with him) He asked as sincere as can be..."Did you peeded?"
So just in case you want to play with the tub toys, you might want to "peeded".

Today I don't think covering my flowers with sheets will help. We have TONS of snow. It's the day when all the drivers forget to drive slower, so everyone slips and slides. I'm staying home.

Day of Mourning

Last night I really did it. I buried my childhood best friend. She knew all my dreams. She kept all my secrets. She lived all my fantasies. She was the most beautiful creature on the planet. When I was 12 years old my big brother really hurt her. He broke her arms. Years later she went to the hospital, but they could not be fixed. She had a severe skull fracture, and no arms, her hair was not sticking to her head anymore, and her eyelashes were broken off. Yet I was still hanging on to her. What do you do when somone knows all your secrets? I even put all her clothes in the washer last night.

She is on her way.....Is it true, do all dolls go to heaven?

stie got a hair cut......then she got another hair cut. her precious daughter tells her her hair is ugly. I got a hair cut. whoops let me rephrase that I got a hair chopped, and my precious charge told me I look like Willy Wonka! Take heart Stie......your hair is beautiful. I love your new look.....and it is not Willy Wonka. Question........how can a person look like Willy Wonka when their hair is extremely SHORT?
